Who We Are

About FBC Longmont

First Baptist Church has been a worshiping community in the heart of Longmont for over 125 years. Our original building, constructed in 1892, was at the corner of 6th & Main. In 1919, work began on a new building and since November 1921, we have called Longs Peak & Kimbark home. On June 23, 2009, our building was designated as a local historic site after the Longmont City Council voted unanimously to grant this historic designation.

As one of 5,800 American Baptist congregations, we are part of a larger community of worship and mission in the United States and around the world. We are associated with the American Baptist Churches USA www.abc-usa.org and the American Baptist Churches of the Rocky Mountains www.abcrm.org.

We seek to be a community of believers who rely on Jesus Christ, His commitment and sacrifice, and the Scripture as a basis for our individual lives, our worship experience, and our outreach ministry.
