American Baptist Women's Ministries
The purpose of the American Baptist Women of Colorado is to unite all the women of our churches into a fellowship that will help each one to grow as a person in personal devotion to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and in commitment to the mission of His church, through worshiping, working, and witnessing in all areas of life: the home, the community, the nation, and the world.
We have two Women’s Small Groups: Faith and Friends of Miriam. They meet monthly for Bible study, mission work and fellowship.
Bible Study / Prayer Time
We have several opportunities during the week to come together, fellowship and learn more about God. We have a Pastor led Bible study Mondays at 1:00 pm, immediately followed by our Prayer Group at 2:00 pm in the Chapel.
If you are not able to make the Monday afternoon study, we have a Monday evening Small Group at 7:00 pm. We also have a mid-week Bible study on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 pm. We support one another and seek God through prayer and continue to study God’s Word and its application to our lives.
Missions
First Baptist Church is very mission driven. We believe in raising awareness of and supporting our local and foreign missions through education and special offerings and we focus on a specific mission each month.
Outreach
F.B.C. is a church for all people. We reach out to the community in various ways to help those in need: “Brown Bag” Project for the Homeless; the Life Pregnancy Center’s “Change for Life” Baby Bottle Campaign; Operation Christmas Child, among others. The last Sunday of each month is ‘Bounty Sunday’, when we bring non-perishable donations for the O.U.R. Center and the Round Pantry. We help the Salvation Army during the Christmas season by taking our turn at Bell Ringing. Our members are volunteers with the O.U.R. Center, Life Pregnancy Center, Community Food Share, and anywhere else God leads us to touch lives.
Prime Timers
Prime Timers is an adult ministry whose purpose is to enhance the quality of life for the +50 adults. Our focus is Spiritual enrichment, socialization, learning and service opportunities all done to glorify God. The Prime Timers meet the third Friday every month for game night and fellowship and the fourth Saturday of every month for breakfast. Other special programs are also scheduled.
Project Give Thanks
Project Give Thanks is a special and rewarding card making ministry where handmade cards are donated to Cancer Patients and Survivors to give to friends, family, medical professionals, and anyone else who has supported them in their fight.
Small Groups
Our Sunday morning small groups offer something for everyone of all ages and stages. They begin at 9:15 am. We have a new Introduction study at 9:30 am in the Chapel. Everyone is invited to attend these enriching classes.
